Hair color
AdsThis post is a little bit different as I won’t talk to you about biotin for hair growth as I usually do. Instead i wanted to share with you guys some really interesting stuff I read about the color of our hair and what determines it.
The color of your hair is determined by special cells at the hair root known as melanocytes.
These produce pigments called melanin or pheomelanin.
Melanin gives brown or black col
or to your hair and pheomelanin gives gold or red color to hair.
The colors that are in between have a mixture of both the pigments. The amount of pigment in your hair determines the darkness and depth of the color. The color of your hair is predetermined and is genetic. Women, who have lighter colored skin, have golden or red hair, while those who are dark skinned have black or brown skin.
Geez, now I wonder if biotin has any impact on hair color.
