The color of your hair is determined by special cells at the hair root known as melanocytes.

The colors that are in between have a mixture of both the pigments. The amount of pigment in your hair determines the darkness and depth of the color. The color of your hair is predetermined and is genetic. Women, who have lighter colored skin, have golden or red hair, while those who are dark skinned have black or brown skin.

Geez, now I wonder if biotin has any impact on hair color.
